Bring Craft Chocolate to Your Next Event
A guided tasting experience that changes the way you taste chocolate — forever.
What Is a Guided Chocolate Tasting?
Most people have never truly tasted chocolate. They've eaten it — but tasting is different. It's slowing down, paying attention, and discovering that a single square of well-made chocolate can be as complex and surprising as a fine wine.
As a Level 2 Certified Chocolate Taster, I guide groups through this discovery. We explore how to taste, and try chocolates side side by side, as I explain what we're experiencing and why. By the end of the session your palate is genuinely changed.
It's equal parts education, sensory experience, and a really delicious time.
Who This is For
Corporate Teams Looking for a team event that's actually memorable? A chocolate tasting is hands-on, conversation-starting, and something people talk about long after. No experience necessary — just curiosity.
Private Celebrations Birthdays, bachelorette parties, anniversary dinners, holiday gatherings. If you're planning something special and want an experience that goes beyond the usual, this is it.
Venues & Hospitality I partner with wine bars, boutique hotels, and specialty food spaces to tasting evenings. If you're looking for programming that draws a crowd and fits a discerning audience, let's talk.

What To Expect
A typical tasting runs 90 minutes to 2 hours and accommodates groups of 5 to 100+ people.
We'll taste about 6 bars together, moving through a curated selection that I choose specifically for your group’s taste, interest, and occasion. Along the way, you'll learn:
How to evaluate chocolate using your senses — aroma, snap, melt, and flavor
What makes craft chocolate different from what you find at the grocery store
How origin, fermentation, and processing shape flavor
How to read a chocolate label and actually understand what it means
Everything is provided — all you need to bring is an appetite and an open mind.
Located in Portland, OR & Seattle, WA, I travel to your venue or workplace within a 3-hour drive. For events outside that range, reach out and we'll figure something out.
Pricing
Private and corporate tastings start at $250 for groups up to 5 people, with a per-person cost for additional participants.

“Laurenne was an incredible host and articulate and knowledgable guide. We tried a range of flavors and textures. I truly had no idea chocolate could taste like this.”

Not at all. My tastings are designed for everyone from total beginners to seasoned chocolate lovers. The only requirement is curiosity.
-
I recommend reaching out at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially for corporate events and holiday-season bookings. That said, feel free to inquire even on shorter notice — if the date is available, we'll make it work.
-
The minimum is 1 person, however in order to cover the cost of the chocolate and time, the minimum price for an event is $250. For very large groups over 30 people, reach out and we can discuss a custom format.
-
Yes, I can accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions. Please mention any allergies or dietary needs when you reach out.
-
I come to you. I don't have a permanent tasting space, so I bring everything needed to your office, home, or venue. As long as everyone has a place to sit, all I need is space to display the chocolate.
-
Depending on which bars we sample, I may have some to purchase. If your group would like to buy bars, I can make sure I have some available if given notice.
